Kevin Hart Named His Cars Hellraiser, Dark Knight And Michael Myers—And The Rides Live Up To Them

Kevin Hart Gives His Cars Alter Egos

Kevin Hart doesn't just collect wild cars. He gives them names like Hellraiser, Michael Myers, Dark Knight, Bane, Bad News, and Darkness, then builds their personalities around those names. Some pack 1,000 horsepower, others hide horror-movie details in their cabins, and one looks like it belongs in Gotham City. Hart's garage feels more like a rogues' gallery than a car collection.

The Nicknames Became Part Of The Build

Hart brought many of these cars together at the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show, where they appeared as the Kevin Hart Kollection. The display showed just how often the names influence the cars themselves, from their paint schemes to their interiors. In Hart's garage, a nickname is rarely just something added after the build is finished.

Hellraiser: 1970 Dodge Charger

Few names fit a car as neatly as Hellraiser. Hart's 1970 Dodge Charger was created by Wisconsin-based SpeedKore, a company known for rebuilding classic muscle cars with modern engineering and carbon fiber. Instead of simply restoring the Charger, SpeedKore effectively re-engineered the entire car.

Hellraiser Packs 1,000 Horsepower

Under the hood sits Mopar's supercharged 7.0-liter Hellephant V8, rated at 1,000 horsepower and 950 lb-ft of torque. SpeedKore paired it with a Dodge Demon-spec ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and a custom exhaust system. A hood opening leaves the massive 3.0-liter supercharger deliberately exposed.

Hellraiser Goes Full Carbon Fiber

SpeedKore scanned a 1970 Charger before creating replacement body panels from aerospace-grade carbon fiber. Hart chose to leave the carbon weave visible beneath clearcoat rather than covering it with conventional paint. Flush-mounted glass, shaved rain gutters, a custom frame, Brembo brakes, and an integrated roll cage complete the transformation.

Michael Myers: 1969 Plymouth Road Runner

Hart's 1969 Plymouth Road Runner takes its name from one of horror's most recognizable villains. Salvaggio Design built the car around a Halloween-inspired theme, using a dark exterior with flashes of orange throughout. The result looks sinister before you even discover what is under the hood.

Michael Myers Packs 940 Horsepower

The Road Runner uses a supercharged 7.0-liter Hemi V8 producing about 940 horsepower. Hart specifically requested a reinforced Tremec 6060 six-speed manual transmission instead of an automatic. A custom chassis and upgraded suspension help turn all that power into something more usable.

Michael Myers Gets Appropriately Creepy Inside

The horror theme becomes much more obvious once you open the door. Black leather meets orange stitching and an orange splatter pattern, while the gear lever resembles a knife handle. A tiny masked Michael Myers also appears in the instrumentation, making this much more than a clever nickname.

Roadrunners were made from 1968-80, based on the Mopar B body, complete with Beep Beep horn.aimed at the younger market; basic trim but big horsepower.

Dark Knight: 1987 Buick Grand National

A black Buick Grand National already looks like something that could cruise through Gotham City at night. Hart and Salvaggio Design leaned into that reputation when they created Dark Knight, which debuted at the 2022 SEMA Show. The goal was to add serious modern performance without losing the original Grand National's understated menace.

Dark Knight Keeps The Turbo V6

Instead of dropping in a V8, the builders preserved the spirit of Buick's turbocharged V6 formula. They installed a 3.6-liter V6 sourced from a Cadillac ATS-V and replaced its factory twin-turbo arrangement with a single turbocharger. Salvaggio Design reported a dyno-tested output of 650 horsepower.

Dark Knight Brings Batman Into The Cabin

The Batman inspiration continues inside the Buick. Blue and gray leather references the Dark Knight's costume, while bronze stitching and trim nod to Batman's utility belt. A 3D-printed dashboard and modern gauges finish the cabin without turning the car into a literal Batmobile.

Bane: 1970 Dodge Challenger

Hart returned to the Batman universe for his 1970 Dodge Challenger built by Kindig-It Design. This time the inspiration was Bane, one of Batman's most imposing enemies. Hart wanted the Challenger to feel angry, intense, and aggressive, so the nickname came naturally.

Bane Gets Another 1,000-HP Hellephant

Bane uses another supercharged 7.0-liter Hellephant V8, producing roughly 1,000 horsepower and 950 lb-ft of torque in factory specification. The huge engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and sits in a heavily reworked chassis. Apparently one four-digit-horsepower vintage Mopar was not enough for Hart.

Bane Lives Up To Its Name

Kindig-It finished the Challenger in deep Black Ice paint from its Modern Classikk line. The body was extensively reworked, while the custom interior incorporates numerous purpose-built and 3D-printed components. The finished Bane debuted at the 2023 SEMA Show before appearing with the rest of Hart's collection in Los Angeles.

Darkness: 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

Darkness is a fitting name for Hart's 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. Built by Timeless Kustoms, the car wears PPG Jet Black paint with much of its grille, window trim, bumpers, and other exterior hardware also finished in black. It is one of the most understated-looking cars here, at least until you learn what powers it.

Darkness Hides 750 Horsepower

Under the hood sits a supercharged 454-cubic-inch LS-based V8 producing about 750 horsepower. Power goes through a Chevrolet 4L80E automatic transmission. Red engine components provide one of the few splashes of color in an otherwise overwhelmingly dark build.

Darkness Gets Modern Hardware Underneath

The old Chevelle rides on an Art Morrison chassis with Corvette-derived front suspension and a four-bar rear setup. Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes sit behind large Forgeline wheels wrapped in Michelin tires. Inside, Hart gets modern gauges, navigation, climate control, and custom upholstery without losing the classic muscle-car atmosphere.

Bad News: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro

With a name like Bad News, Hart's satin-black 1969 Chevrolet Camaro was never going to be subtle. Hart acquired the already modified Camaro before sending it to Timeless Kustoms for further work. Flush glass, flared bodywork, revised aerodynamics, and a slammed stance make it look every bit as threatening as the nickname suggests.

Bad News Has Twin Turbos

The Camaro uses a 380-cubic-inch LS-based V8 with twin Turbonetics ball-bearing turbochargers. The combination has been reported at 650 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels. Hart's Bad News also uses a Tremec six-speed manual rather than an automatic.

In 1969, the Camaro got all new sheet metal, except the hood and trunk lid, but the drivetrain stayed much the same, the grille got a distinctive V shape and the headlights were inset. It looked lower, wider and more aggressive.

Bad News Is Softer On The Inside

The cabin provides an unexpected contrast to the intimidating exterior. Its leather has been described as baseball-glove colored, bringing warmth to a car that is otherwise dominated by satin black. Bucket seats, racing harnesses, a roll cage, custom controls, and a bespoke console complete the interior.

Droppa: 1969 Pontiac GTO

Hart's 1969 Pontiac GTO has perhaps the most personal nickname in the collection. Droppa takes its name from Chocolate Droppa, the rapper persona Hart has used in comedy and music projects. Detroit Speed carried that identity into a car finished in Mercedes Mystic Brown with subtle gold pearl.

Droppa Gets Corvette ZR1 Power

Detroit Speed installed a supercharged Chevrolet LT5 crate engine, from the same engine family used in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Producing more than 750 horsepower, it sends power through a Tremec Magnum six-speed manual transmission. A Detroit Speed 9-inch rear end helps handle everything heading toward the back tires.

Droppa Breaks Hart's Black-Car Habit

Droppa immediately stands apart from Hart's many dark builds. Brown, cream, cognac, and gold dominate the color palette, with gold-colored detailing even appearing on mechanical components. HRE wheels, Michelin performance tires, modern Detroit Speed suspension, and extensive bodywork complete the GTO.

Mint Condition: 1959 Chevrolet Corvette

Not every Hart nickname sounds like it belongs to a horror villain. His 1959 Chevrolet Corvette is called Mint Condition, a playful name that also references the car's pale green finish. Hart paid $825,000 including buyer's premium for the extensively modified Corvette at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale in 2021.

Mint Condition Hides Modern Corvette Power

The classic body hides a modern 6.2-liter LT1 V8 producing 460 horsepower. Underneath is an Art Morrison chassis with upgraded suspension and Wilwood brakes. The result keeps the recognizable shape of a 1950s Corvette while making it far more modern underneath.

Mint Condition Takes Its Name Literally

The Corvette carries the Mint Condition name in custom badging and reinforces it with its pale green exterior and light-colored cabin. Its modern upgrades are integrated carefully enough that they do not overwhelm the original 1950s styling. Compared with Hellraiser or Michael Myers, this one shows Hart can occasionally give a car a friendly alter ego.

Hart Builds Cars Instead Of Just Buying Them

The most interesting part of Hart's collection is how many of these cars were commissioned from major custom shops rather than simply purchased from exotic-car dealerships. SpeedKore, Salvaggio Design, Timeless Kustoms, Detroit Speed, and Kindig-It Design have all built cars for him. Modern brakes, cooling systems, transmissions, suspension, and drivetrains also suggest these machines were designed to function as cars rather than static showpieces.

The Name Usually Tells You What Is Coming

Hellraiser brings four-digit horsepower and exposed carbon fiber. Michael Myers hides horror references inside, Dark Knight channels Batman, and Bane looks every bit as aggressive as its namesake. Even Droppa and Mint Condition use their nicknames to dictate colors and character. In Kevin Hart's garage, knowing the name usually tells you exactly what kind of car you are about to meet.
