Tom Cruise’s Insane Car Collection Proves He’s The Real Action Star

Tom Cruise's Car Collection Satisfies His Need For Speed

When you're as successful as Tom Cruise, you can buy any car you'd like. From an ultra-fast Bugatti Veyron to an American classic like the Corvette C1. Cruise has been driving fast cars ever since Days of Thunder (1984), when he starred alongside his wife-to-be, Nicole Kidman. From those early days to Mission: Impossible (1996), he's always sought an adrenaline rush. Let's go through the extraordinary car collection of Hollywood's best-known speedsters.

The 1979 Porsche 928 is a front-engine, V8-powered GT car that delivers around 240 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 6.8 seconds. This sporty classic was Cruise's breakout car in Risky Business (1983). A combination of luxury and performance earned it a cult following.

Cruise's Bugatti Woes

Unfortunately for Tom Cruise, he's now reportedly banned from owning a Bugatti car. At the 2005 Cannes film festival, Cruise was spotted and videoed struggling to open the doors to his Bugatti Veyron for more than 40 seconds. When published online, the clip went viral and Cruise was reportedly banned from owning a Bugatti as it was seen as "damaging the brand's public image". We think you should probably be able to easily open the door of a $1.5 million car, but that's just us.
