While this means that a lot of cars are being built smaller, it has also caused manufacturers to seek extra power with turbocharged engines. This is good for drivers, because it means that there are a lot of cheap turbo cars out there for purchase. If you’re considering buying a used sports car and don’t want to spend more than $25,000, check out these great affordable options.


BMW 335i xDrive

The 335i xDrive is a great entry-level sedan. In 2013, this car was upgraded to include a turbocharged I4 engine that generates 300 horsepower. It has adaptive xenon headlights, alloy wheels, a sunroof, and an interior that is trimmed with leather. It also has a responsive command center that, combined with its other features, makes for a thrilling and comfortable ride.

Fiat 124 Spider

First released in 2017, the 124 Spider offers a ton of fun for a low price. Equipped with Fiat’s innovative multi-air turbocharged I4 engine, this little hot rod has 160 horsepower and your choice of an automatic or manual 6-speed transmission. There are a few different trim levels for this car, so it is highly customizable. All models come equipped with cool features like automatic climate control, fog lights, heated seats, and leather trim. You can also get the Technology package which gives you a 43-centimeter (7-inch) touchscreen, HD radio, rear-view camera, and keyless entry.

Audi A4

The A4 is not as flashy as the other cars on this list but it performs very well and is fun to drive. The A4’s turbocharged engine produces 211 horsepower, and this car provides a more comfortable ride than many of the other turbo cars out there. If you want a more luxurious interior without breaking the bank, it’s best to go with an A4 Prestige from 2016 or 2017. With great performance, fuel efficiency, and reliability, it is unsurprising that the Honda Civic has spent decades at the top of the best-sellers list. In 2016, Honda started equipping the Civic with a turbocharged I4 engine that generates 175 horsepower. There are several trim packages, and you can get a wide range of cool features including a rear-view camera, lane-change assist, heated side mirrors, and a touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
