The Wildest Cars In Danny Koker’s Personal Collection—Would You Drive One?

Inside the Count’s Remarkable Garage

Danny “The Count” Koker is the owner of Count’s Kustoms and the star of History’s Counting Cars, where he became famous for rescuing, restoring, and customizing unusual rides. In 2020, his changing collection reportedly contained 55 cars and 70 motorcycles—roughly 125 vehicles in total.

These are the just top 30 hiding in his garage.

#30. 1991 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1

This former police cruiser may lack the glamour of Koker’s Shelbys, but that is part of its appeal. Danny bought the V8-powered Caprice after its law-enforcement career ended and has kept it largely straightforward, describing the inexpensive sedan as tremendously fun to drive.

#29. 1986 Chevrolet Pickup

Koker’s collection naturally includes several Chevrolet trucks, and his 1986 pickup represents the square-bodied workhorses many viewers remember from their youth. It is not his rarest vehicle, but its sturdy construction, familiar styling, and customization potential make it a perfect Count’s Kustoms machine.

#28. 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

The late-1970s Camaro cannot match the raw power of its earliest ancestors, but its dramatic nose, fender vents, stripes, and unmistakable profile still attract attention. Koker’s documented Z28 fits his fondness for vehicles that looked fast even while sitting beneath showroom lights.

The Chevrolet Motor Company was formed in 1911.

#27. 1981 Chevrolet C10 “Vampire Van”

Also known as the Danny Van, this wildly customized Chevrolet keeps the 1970s van craze gloriously alive. Its elaborate paint, plush interior, entertainment equipment, and vampire-inspired attitude make it more rolling lounge than sensible transportation. Subtlety apparently missed the invitation, which feels entirely appropriate.

#26. 1977 Dodge Tradesman Van

Koker built this bright red Dodge after being inspired by another custom van owned by his bandmate. The Tradesman combines retro striping, custom bodywork, a highly personalized interior, and enough old-school attitude to make every modern passenger van look painfully responsible by comparison.

#25. 1956 Chevrolet Shop Truck

Count’s Kustoms identifies this satin-black Chevrolet as Danny’s personal shop truck. A 383 stroker, red metallic flames, silver leafing, custom steel wheels, and exhaust flamethrowers transformed it from a burnout machine into a daily driver—although “daily driver” may be underselling the drama slightly.

The Chevrolet Motor Company was formed in 1911.
From 1955-59 the Chevy Pickups were known as the Task Force Series.

#24. 1962 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia

This graceful little Volkswagen looks almost delicate beside Koker’s oversized Cadillacs and muscle cars. Its air-cooled mechanicals are modest, but the Italian-influenced body gives it undeniable charm. Danny reportedly became attached after the shop finished it and decided the Karmann Ghia belonged in his garage.

#23. 1974 Stutz Blackhawk

The Blackhawk was a hand-built personal luxury car favored by entertainers including Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. Koker’s example brings Italian bodywork, a powerful American V8, gold-plated interior details, and enormous proportions together in one outrageous package. It is basically Las Vegas wearing license plates.

#22. 1965 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham

Few vehicles suit Koker better than a large vintage Cadillac. His 1965 Fleetwood Brougham offers acres of sheet metal, a spacious interior, restrained luxury, and the smooth V8 character that made these cars prestigious. Reports have also identified it as one of his regular personal rides.

#21. 2008 Cadillac STS-V

Anyone believing Danny refuses to own newer cars should meet his supercharged STS-V. He had the Cadillac’s intake, exhaust, and computer tuning modified, reportedly lifting output well beyond the factory rating. The exterior remained comparatively stock, making this comfortable sedan one of his better sleepers.

#20. 1969 Cadillac Coupe DeVille

Danny bought this beautifully preserved Coupe DeVille during a trip to Texas. He later upgraded its cooling and air-conditioning systems so it could survive regular driving in the Las Vegas heat. Its mint-green finish and elegant detailing prove his collection is not entirely flames, skulls, and superchargers.

#19. Cadillac Hearse Limousine

A Cadillac hearse already fits “The Count,” but stretching one into a limousine makes the connection impossible to miss. Danny’s gothic cruiser features dark custom paint, suicide-style doors, a vivid red interior, crushed-velvet upholstery, extensive lighting, and the sort of presence that could make an ordinary funeral procession jealous.

#18. 1971 Cadillac Eldorado “Superfly”

This gold Eldorado embraces the extravagant “pimpmobile” styling popularized during the 1970s. Count’s Kustoms refreshed its paint, chrome, interior, and outrageous wheel accessories. Fake fur, snakeskin-inspired materials, and a long custom nose ensure nobody will ever confuse it with a quietly optioned commuter car.

#17. 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass

The shop restored this Cutlass with a cream-and-gold appearance inspired by the Hurst/Olds. Danny initially planned to sell it, but a deal fell short of his asking price. Rather than accept less, he kept the Oldsmobile and gained another handsome 1970s cruiser for his collection.

#16. 1970 Dodge Coronet

The Coronet represents the boxy, aggressive side of Mopar muscle that Koker loves. Its broad grille, substantial body, and available big-block power made the 1970 model an imposing street machine. It may not receive Charger-level attention, but that underdog quality makes it even more interesting.

#15. 1974 Plymouth Road Runner

Danny had wanted a Road Runner for years before finding one he could build his way. The finished Plymouth delivered classic Mopar character with personalized Count’s Kustoms details. Although emissions regulations had softened factory performance by 1974, its cartoon-inspired attitude and muscular shape remained wonderfully rebellious.

The Plymouth Roadrunner was made from 1968-80, Plymouth wanted a car that that could run a 14 sec qtr mile and cost under $3000, they came complete Cartoon Character Decals and Beep Beep horn.

#14. 1968 Dodge Charger

Few American cars have a more intimidating profile than the second-generation Charger. Its hidden headlights, flying-buttress roof, Coke-bottle curves, and muscular proportions make it a natural fit for Koker’s garage. Even among his customized machines, this Dodge has enough presence without needing an introduction.

#13. 1968 Chevrolet Camaro

Koker’s first-generation Camaro combines one of Chevrolet’s most recognizable muscle-car bodies with the dark, aggressive style associated with Count’s Kustoms. Its V8 power, contrasting stripes, aftermarket wheels, and restored interior make it a familiar classic that still feels personal rather than factory ordinary.

#12. 1955 Chevrolet 210 Gasser

Danny’s affection for 1955 Chevrolets began with a similar car owned by his mother. His radically altered 210 uses a raised front end, straight-axle gasser stance, enormous V8 power, and vivid custom paint. It turns a treasured family memory into a machine built for tire smoke.

#11. 1973 Buick Riviera

Danny purchased this boat-tail Riviera for about $5,000 and spent roughly a year transforming it. The finished Buick received black paint, metallic detailing, a redesigned interior, and rebuilt mechanical components. Its dramatic rear styling and lavish presentation made it an obvious candidate for the SEMA show.

#10. 1962 Kellison J6

The Kellison is among the strangest and rarest machines in Koker’s collection. Its lightweight fiberglass body sits on a later Corvette chassis, while an LS3 V8 provides modern power. Custom suspension, larger brakes, side vents, and a distinctive hood turn this obscure kit car into a serious performer.

#9. 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo

This 996-generation Porsche Turbo once belonged to Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx, giving it an irresistible rock-and-roll connection. Its twin-turbocharged all-wheel-drive performance provides a very different experience from Danny’s lumbering Cadillacs, while its celebrity history makes it particularly appropriate for the Count’s garage.

#8. 1995 Hennessey Dodge Viper RT/10

Koker chose a first-generation Viper partly because the 1995 model retained its outrageous side-exit exhaust. Hennessey Performance upgraded the mechanicals, while custom wheels and ghosted spiderweb details added Count’s personality. With no roof, minimal driver aids, and huge V10 power, restraint was never part of the plan.

#7. 1981 Chevrolet Corvette

Danny bought this Corvette at an auction after moving to Las Vegas in 1988 and used it as a regular driver. Count’s Kustoms eventually installed extensive performance upgrades, reportedly producing around 525 horsepower. Its long history with him makes it more meaningful than an ordinary modified C3.

#6. 1999 Shelby Series 1

Only 249 production Series 1 roadsters were completed, and Danny’s factory-black example is especially unusual. Koker has explained that he pushed Shelby to offer the darker color combination. The lightweight roadster’s Oldsmobile-derived V8, manual transmission, and Carroll Shelby pedigree make it a genuine modern collectible.

#5. 1983 Lamborghini Countach

The white Countach looks like it drove straight out of a bedroom poster and into Count’s Kustoms. Its wedge body, scissor doors, rear-mounted V12, and limited visibility make it impractical in nearly every measurable way. None of that matters once the doors rise and everyone stops talking.

#4. 1932 Ford Five-Window Coupe

Built on an original 1932 Ford frame, Danny’s chopped five-window coupe combines traditional hot-rod proportions with far more modern performance. Its powerful V8, lowered roof, light body, and carefully finished details make it the sort of car Koker believes every serious hot-rod collection should contain.

#3. 1966 Shelby 427 Cobra

Danny and his father purchased this Cobra together, giving the car significance beyond its already enormous value. The 427’s lightweight body, brutal V8, side pipes, and minimal protection created one of America’s most thrilling sports cars. It is equal parts family memory and barely restrained horsepower.

#2. 1932 Ford Roadster “Vamp Rod”

Koker acquired the historic Vamp Rod with his father in the early 1980s and has said he will never sell it. The famous hot rod now features a supercharged Chevrolet small-block and paint inspired by a vintage Hot Wheels design. Few vehicles capture his personality more completely.

#1. 1966 Shelby Mustang GT350

The GT350 earns first place because it helped begin Danny’s lifelong obsession. His father bought the Shelby when Danny was nine, and the car eventually passed to him. Its high-performance 289 V8 and racing heritage are impressive, but the irreplaceable family history makes this Mustang his collection’s true heart.

Car wash conversation in the driveway

My HOA says I can't wash my car in my own driveway. I don't trust the car wash, is that rule enforceable?

You pull out the hose, grab a bucket, and suddenly your HOA says no. That sounds petty, but the issue usually is not soap or spotless paint. It is stormwater runoff, and in many communities that brings HOA rules, city codes, and even state water regulations into the picture.
