Mr October’s Impressive Car Collection
Reggie Jackson is one of the most successful baseball players of all time. All of that raw baseball talent has earned Jackson a pretty penny, which has enabled him to fuel another passion: cars. Reggie Jackson’s car collection, at its height, was worth $8 million. Let’s take a look.
1955 Chevy
This was one of Reggie Jackson’s first cars. It wasn’t as flashy as some of the other kids’ cars in his high school, but he was passionate about it. This was a passion that would carry on throughout his life.

1967 421 Pontiac Catalina
Jackson got this car from Charlie Finley when he signed his first baseball contract in 1966. In a deep maroon color, it was part of his signing bonus, and Jackson called it something that he would always remember.

Yamaha FZR Race Editions
Jackson had a lot of vehicles in his collection, but few are as special as this pair of racers. Jackson began riding motorcycles in the late 70s. He’d later connect with Japanese sport bike companies, including Yamaha.

These two bikes were gifted to Jackson from Yamaha as part of his revenue for appearing in promotions and motorcycle safety videos in the 1990s. They are a key part of Jackson’s collections.

This pair of bikes were part of a limited production, and therefore are rare, perfect for any collection. They had a six-speed manual gearbox, disc brakes, and chain drive. They’d also been modified.

1967 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
As one of only 602 Camaro Z28s produced in this year, this was likely one of the prize pieces in Jackson’s collection. Today, less than 200 are known to still exist. Jackson had extensive records on his Camaro’s history.

This particular vehicle was built on April 10, 1967, and was delivered to the Chevrolet Engineering Center in Warren Michigan for evaluation by Chevrolet performance chief Vince Piggins.

Most of the miles on this car were put on by Piggins and Chevrolet General Manager Pete Este. However, it saw some action with its first owner, who competed in NHRA drag racing events with this piece.

It had been refurbished by Supercar Specialties of Portland, Michigan before Jackson took ownership of it. With its four-barrel carburetor, dual exhaust, and M21 four-speed manual transmission, it’s a testament to muscle cars.

This Chevy Corvette convertible is a classic car for a reason. With its 327/340 hp V8 engine and four-speed manual transmission, it is the dream of car collectors everywhere, and there’s no surprise why Jackson had it.

When you think of 60s and 70s muscle cars, then you think of the Camaro, whether you realize it or not. Therefore, it is no surprise that Jackson had more than one version of this car.

While this car is not 100% original, John Mazmanian, a racer known for working with gasser cars, has supposedly stated that this car is the most faithful tribute that he’s seen. It is made with an original Willys Gasser body. It’s the inside that’s been updated.

Jackson had the 426 Ci Hemi V8 engine that this car boasts built in his machine shop in San Bruno, California. It was made by Bruno Gianoli. It pays homage to the start of cars, while boasting high power.

Now, from the outside looking in, this BMW from the early 2000s doesn’t look nearly as flashy as the classic muscle cars that are part of Jackson’s collection. However, don’t let the outside fool you. It still has all of the power.
